What can I expect coming to you?

That ‘feel good’ feeling is what we specialise in at Eleanor Harnden Makeup Artistry. Knowing that you’re booking a professional artist with years of experience and knowledge under their belt is reassuring to say the least.

Out of the hundreds of brides I have had the pleasure of working with, I’ve learnt that the term makeup is so incredibly broad. Some of my brides know exactly the look they wish to go for, which is great. However, the majority are somewhat clueless and are seeking my expertise to guide them through the world of makeup. This is where both my skill and enthusiasm for makeup meet to ensure you feel the most beautiful version of yourself for your big day.

 

How far in advance should I book?

Good question! It has changed a lot in the past 12 months so let me explain..

Due to the backlog of weddings from 2020, there was limited availability for 2021 and 2022. Meaning, so many dates for this year were already booked by the time brides got round to enquiring. 

However, for me 2023 is ready to be filled with around 50% of peak dates available! I would advise enquiring 12 to 18 months prior to your big day for the best chance of securing your date. My 2024 Diary opens in September this year! 

 

How much of my budget should I allocate for your services?

All of my pricing is found on my website for you to browse through, I think its super helpful when you can instantly see suppliers pricing to ensure they are in your budget.

How much you spend simply depends on the size of your bridal party. I have a minimum booking of £300 for all weddings. This includes your bridal trial appointment, bridal makeup on the day alongside two other makeups for bridesmaids/mothers. 

I also offer my brides the option to add on one of my luxury makeup packages onto their quote.

 

What do your packages include?

I really wanted to create two luxury packages for brides with both budgets in mind. It’s important to me that every bride feels a priority on their big day.

Silver Package – A Touch Of Sparkle:

• Makeup touch-up’s for the bride right through till after the ceremony in time for your professional photographs

• A luxury lipstick of your choice for your wedding day that is chosen by you at your bridal trial.

Gold Package – The Ultimate Experience 

For only an additional £100 you will receive:

• All day touch-ups for you and your entire bridal party! Ensuring you look and feel your best no matter what.

• An evening makeup look is available for you to add more drama to the eyes or have a different lip, perfect for the party!

• A luxury lipstick of your choice for your wedding day that is chosen by you at your bridal trial.

Can you also accommodate my bridesmaids/mum(s)?

Absolutely! How can we miss out the girls?!

If your bridal party is over 7, I may need to bring an assistant with me to carry out some of the makeups, so you and your party can still relax and not need to rush around on your wedding day.

 

How far in advance should I have a trial? 

I typically advise booking your trial in around 6-12 weeks prior to your wedding day. This will guarantee you’re able to book in with ease as I do become very busy over spring and summer! I I’ll do my best to cater to your availability.

 

Is a trial important? What should I bring with me?

In my opinion, essential. It’s a fantastic way for us not only to get to know each other but for me to really see what is going to suit you best and for you to tell me everything I need to know about your skin and makeup routine. Don’t worry if you’re clueless, I’m here to guide you through the process. 

The only thing I would advise you to bring are a few inspiration images. These could be found on Instagram, Pinterest or maybe when someone has done your makeup in the past. A top tip is to find models / celebrities that have similar face shapes and features to yourself, this really helps.
